What is a QR Code?
Have you seen these odd looking black and white squares (like the one displayed above) in publications or online? They are called QR (Quick Response) codes because they can be read quickly by a cell phone with a camera. A QR Code is a two-dimensional bar code, which typically has a URL (web address) encoded within it. If you have a smartphone, go to the application (app) store and search for a QR code reader. You should be able to find several different free apps to choose from. Run the app and then hold your phone's camera over a QR code to read it and be taken to a web page or other form of advertising.
